These are procurement scenarios, not customer results. Scroll through the project types and note the questions that apply to your receiving team.
Grow room
Controlled cultivation
Record the usable room conditions, intended process and staffing level. Ask the factory to state the substrate colonization stage and instructions for the quoted shiitake strain. Confirm whether the offer assumes equipment, soaking, ventilation or other steps outside the kit. Do not infer readiness from a photograph of fruiting mushrooms.
Importer
Warehouse receiving
List the destination, receiving hours, cartons per order and available storage conditions. Ask for net and gross mass in kg or lb, carton dimensions in cm or inches, lot identification and handling instructions. Confirm shipping and import document responsibilities for the exact material before ordering.
Distributor
Packaged grower programs
Specify whether kits will remain in original packing or be repacked. Compare labeling, instruction language, included accessories and batch traceability. A low packing cost may create additional receiving labor or customer support needs; ask suppliers to quote these responsibilities separately.
Pilot purchaser
Small sample evaluation
Define a sample quantity and compare the same kit configuration under your documented operating conditions. Record arrival condition, batch number, storage interval and observations against a written acceptance sheet. The pilot can reveal questions for the supplier, but it cannot establish a harvest guarantee for a larger shipment.
